Let’s be real. Valentine’s Day can get expensive, fast. It can be really hard to find creative gift ideas for Valentine’s Day on the cheap. So I’ve got you covered. I’m going to show you how to make these inexpensive gift ideas yourself
Valentine's Day DIY Heart Bark, Sock Cupcakes
CUPCAKE SOCKS
This is such a cute idea and you can make them with dollar store socks but by the time you are done, they look like an expensive gift.
For this you will need:
-Fuzzy or Valentine’s day socks
-Cupcake cups
-Clear bags
-Ribbon to tie off
-Cupcake box – Optional
I bought these adorable cupcake cups online.
Then I found all different types of valentine themed socks at the dollar store. I started with the fuzzy socks by folding the sock over just a little bit. I started rolling from the toe to the top.
This starts to look like a cupcake. Now slide it into the cupcake cup. Next, with the thin socks, you have to put the toe in the top of the other.
Fold over, start rolling from the toe all the way to the top and voila, you have another cute cupcake. Put the cupcakes in a clear bag. Tie off with a cute ribbon with a tag.
There are so many cute ways to package these cupcakes. Either in a bag or even in a cupcake box.
LATTE SOCKS
The Latte socks are very similar to the cupcake socks. I found these cute latte disposable cups. First, I filled the bottom with crumpled paper. On top, I added a fuzzy pink sock, I bought at the dollar store. Fold over the top of the sock and roll from the toe down.
Put them in a cute latte cup.
Seal them off with a plastic bag and tie off at the top. You simply can’t find an easier and cute gift idea for any coffee lover. This is a great gift for teachers and friends.
MINI HEART BARK
Now for mini heart bark. Pour melted white candy melts into a silicone heart mold.
Top it off with cute candies.
I added some pink candy melts on top of some of the white bark and added candies there too. After you put it in the fridge to harden, you can pop them out of the molds.
They are adorable Valentine’s heart bark candies. Put them into cute clear bags with your regular bark and tie off with Valentine’s Day ribbons. I made baggies with my regular bark and put one or two heart barks inside the baggie for a fun effect.
VALENTINE’S BARK
Valentine’s bark is so very easy to make and you can literally make a pan full of bark in no time at all.
Start out by lining a pan with parchment paper. Follow the melting directions for a tray of white bark in the microwave, stir and pour on the parchment paper. Smooth out.
Melt pink candy melts in the microwave or on a double boiler and pour it in lines over the white bark.
Follow the directions for melting the candy melts. I just want you to be aware. Do NOT over cook it. It can happen fast so be sure to start out with the directions on the package.
Use a skewer to create a design.
This is such a fun project for everyone in the family. Now add sprinkles. Just start layering sprinkles on top of each other. The more you add, the more creative you can get. We added hearts, and little x’s and o’s.
Once done, put in the refrigerator until it’s solid. Now you can break it into pieces. Put it into clear baggies and tie off with adorable Valentine’s Day ribbon that you can get at the dollar store.

Use a brush to make sure it sticks to the side. Do the same with red candy melts.Put in the fridge to solidify. When done, pop out. Use a hot surface on low heat to even out the edges the inner part of the red.
Put hot chocolate mix and mini marshmallows inside.
Melt the edges on the other half of the chocolate portion of the semi sphere and attach it to the red part to seal it off. Use your finger to smooth out the ball.
Use silicone mini molds with light pink or red candy melts to make her bow.
