If you are looking for a wonderful fall color DIY projects, look no further. I think everyone loves the colors of fall, and we all wish we can capture those memories forever.
This is a great family project. It’s a way where you can go out leaf hunting and created memories to last for years to come. I started out by having my daughter pick leaves.
DIY PROJECTS WITH FALL LEAVES
I will show you how to make a leaf print and an adorable leaf mason jar candle holder.
First, lets make the mason jar candle holder. It is so beautiful when you put a tea light inside and light it up. The leaf colors really sparkle and dance with the candle light in the jar.
We start with mod podge and a mason jar.
Paint mod podge on the jar, and place a leaf on it. You might have to let the mod podge dry a little for it to stick fully. Use mod podge to help it stick and cover it fully. Now add your second leaf.
For this one I used different colored leaves. Let it dry between each leaf you add.
DIY FALL LEAVES MASON JARS
Keep adding and layering more leaves and repeat the process.
I chose green red and yellow. Once it’s all covered, add a big layer of mod podge. It will dry clear.
Then use mod podge around the rim and add a ribbon or twine.
Once dried, put a candle inside and light it up.
It creates a colorful glow. Watch the video if you want ot see how to do it.
Next I’m going to show you how to make a layered leaf print.
Start with a frame of your choice. Cut out paper to put in it. I chose different types of acrylic paints, all in fall leaf colors. Take thin paint brushes and paint different colors on the leaf.
I started with yellow around the rim, then put red paint in the middle. Finish it off with green for the stem. Now flip it over on the paper and over it with a paper towel. Use a rolling pin to roll over it.
Leaf Prints
This is just the first layer of your print. Now you will add extra layers.
this is where you can get creative. I added more yellow around the edges of the same leaf
and different colors inside. Put the *same* leaf on the old pattern. This is your second layer
Contuing layering until you get the effect you like. Use adhesive to attach your paper to the frame.
and you have fall art.
