DIY Back to School
There is always a lot of excitement when going back to school, but we are all looking for creative and fun ways to stay organized. I created 10 great fun DIY back to school projects that will be great for room decor but will also help keep you organized.
Back to School DIY Hacks and Crafts - Corkboard, Laptop Cover, To-Do Clips
First, lets design spice up our laptop. Just order a clear case online and then go out to the craft store and pick out anything that speaks your style. Take a glue gun and attach it to a clear case. You now have a very expensive designer laptop case that’s a fraction of the cost. See how to make it in the video above.
You can also make a clothes pin organizer. Clip paper reminders or even mini chalkboards to write in reminders about what is due this week. It’s a fun and creative way to stay organized.
Next, how about your own DIY cork board. Use an old frame. Take out the glass, cut a corkboard to fit and cover it with the fabric of your choice. This is a great place to put to do lists, reminders and photos.
Here are three more back to school organization ideas. The first one is a super easy DIY reminder board. I got a cheap frame at Goodwill. Chances are you already have one lying around your house. It’s so super easy. I took apart the frame, painted the frame white. Then, I took out the guts and taped a cute pink donut with sprinkles duct tape over the part that will show inside the frame. Then put the frame back together. Use a dry erase pen and you can write reminders about homework. Or since this is so cute, just place it in the kitchen and write notes, reminders or kind messages to eachother.
You can also make a cute caddy and design it to your style. Just get a drink carrier. I bought mine at the craft store on a clearance. I painted it with white chalk paint, then added chalkboard paint on the side to write reminders on it. Once done, take some designer paper that fits your style and cut it and attach it with mod podge.
I found even more ways to get excited about going back to school! And you can do this on a budget. Here are 9 DIY back to school projects, most of them made with glue guns. I got most of the items to make the hacks at the dollar store. Check out the video.
